Beau has taken his career in many different directions and charity work has also been a huge part of Beau’s life, being an activist for the NSW Cancer Council for five years and also been the face of one of their Campaign’s ‘Smoking in Movies’. That continued in 2009 when he created his own Charity event called Surf Skate Slam and found a way to give back to the sport that has given him so much by raising money for under privileged children in Australia.
When Beau retired from competitive surfing he took on managing Warner Surfboards and also ran the Quiksilver Surfboard Program through Australia for three years, giving him a great insight into the business world. Beau then teamed up with his long time friend, coach and manager Barton Lynch, to coach and mentor athletes in Australia. He was then asked to be the assistant coach for Australian team at the ISA world titles. Beau has continued his coaching and now runs surfing and skating development programs for all levels as well as work with some of the Worlds best.
Beau has always been up for a challenge and to learn and experience more in his life. He recently went back to further his education and he now has a Marketing and an Advertising Diploma as well as a certificate in sports psychology to add to his achievements.
